AC/DC singer and longtime Sarasota resident Brian Johnson, who is currently hosting his own interview show, will soon get another national television spotlight. AC/DC are rumoured to be announcing a world stadium tour with Brian Johnson, 72, resuming his position on vocals.

Johnson joined AC/DC in 1980 as lead singer and lyricist and performed with them for decades, stepping down from touring in 2016.

As well as Johnson’s return, the group could also reunite with drummer Phil Rudd — who left in 2015 after he was convicted of drug possession and threatening to kill a former employee. The series featuring the longtime CBS News journalist interviewing pop culture icons airs on AXS TV, the same channel as "Brian Johnson's A Life on the Road," in which Johnson talks to other rock stars. Following the death of lead singer Bon Scott from acute alcoholic poisoning at the age of 33 in 1980, Brian Johnson was hired to replace him.

AC/DC is all set to make a return this year with a new line up of artists.
